Use the necessary ingredients:
Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
2 cups chicken broth (can be substituted with water, milk or vegetable broth)
salt to taste
sausages
Frying oil
Directions
- In a pan, heat the chicken broth and add the butter (or margarine) and salt.
- As soon as the butter melts and the broth starts to boil, add the wheat flour all at once.
- Stir vigorously with a wooden spoon until the dough pulls away from the bottom of the pan and forms a ball.
This is called “cooking” the dough. - Transfer the dough to a clean surface and let it cool down a bit so you can manipulate it with your hands.
- While the dough is still warm, take small portions and open them in the palm of your hand.
- Place a sausage in the center of the open dough.
- Roll the dough around the sausage, making sure it is well sealed and without holes.
- Shape the dough so that it has the shape of a roll.
- Heat enough oil in a deep pan to cover the rolls.
- When the oil is hot (approximately 170-180°C), gently place the rolls in the hot oil, taking care not to burn yourself.
- Fry the rolls until golden and crispy on all sides.
This should take about 3-4 minutes. - Remove the fried rolls with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
- Serve the fried sausage rolls still warm, accompanied by your favorite sauces, such as ketchup, mustard or mayonnaise.
