This Fried Polenta will be amazing if you follow the preparation step-by-step.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of cornmeal

  • 1 liter of water

  • 1 tablespoon lard

  • 1/2 chopped onion

  • Chopped garlic

  • Salt

Directions

  • In a container, add 3 cups of cornmeal;
  • Add 1 liter of water (reserve some of it);
  • Mix;
  • In a pan, sauté onion and garlic;
  • Add salt;
  • Add the rest of the water;
  • Add cornmeal mixture;
  • Mix in the fire for 5 minutes, until it disgraces from the bottom of the pan;
  • Transfer to a shape and spread;
  • Take it to the fridge until it’s firm;
  • Cut into strips;
  • Pass the cornmeal;
  • Fry in hot oil until golden;
  • Your Fried Polentas are ready!
