Ingredients
3 cups wheat flour
1 cup of milk
4 eggs
2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tablespoon powdered yeast
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Grease a cake tin with butter or oil and sprinkle a little flour to prevent the cake from sticking. - In a large bowl, mix the wheat flour and baking powder.
- Reserve.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- You can use an electric mixer or a fouet for this.
- Add the melted butter and vanilla extract to the egg and sugar mixture.
Stir well until smooth. - Gradually add the flour and milk mixture to the bowl of liquid ingredients.
Start by adding a little flour mixture, followed by a little milk, and continue alternating until all ingredients are incorporated.
Stir gently until the dough is uniform. - Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
- Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes.
Then transfer it to a cooling rack and let it cool completely before serving. - If desired, you can decorate the cake with icing, icing sugar or fresh fruit before serving.
