Ingredients

  • 3 cups wheat flour

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. 
    Grease a cake tin with butter or oil and sprinkle a little flour to prevent the cake from sticking.
  • In a large bowl, mix the wheat flour and baking powder.
  • Reserve.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • You can use an electric mixer or a fouet for this.
  • Add the melted butter and vanilla extract to the egg and sugar mixture. 
    Stir well until smooth.
  • Gradually add the flour and milk mixture to the bowl of liquid ingredients. 
    Start by adding a little flour mixture, followed by a little milk, and continue alternating until all ingredients are incorporated. 
    Stir gently until the dough is uniform.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
  • Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes. 
    Then transfer it to a cooling rack and let it cool completely before serving.
  • If desired, you can decorate the cake with icing, icing sugar or fresh fruit before serving.
