Ingredients
- 3 cups wheat flour 
- 1 cup of milk 
- 2 cups of sugar 
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine (at room temperature) 
- 3 eggs 
- 1 tablespoon powdered yeast 
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) 
- Pinch of salt 
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin with butter or margarine. 
 You can also put parchment paper on the bottom of the mold to make it easier to unmold.
- In a large bowl, mix butter (or margarine) and sugar until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. 
 If you prefer, you can add the vanilla at this stage.
- Then add the sifted wheat flour little by little, alternating with the milk. 
 Start and end with the flour.
 Mix well until you get a homogeneous mass.
- Add the baking powder and salt, and stir gently until all ingredients are incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 40-50 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes. 
 Then unmold and cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
