Dutch crypto analyst: ‘Altcoins are ready to pop’

Popular Dutch analyst Michaël van de Poppe says altcoins are ready to pop. According to Van de Poppe, altcoins are preparing for a gigantic rise towards new all-time highs. Before altcoins start their upward run, he foresees a correction.

Which altcoins does Van de Poppe have in mind?

As for specific names, Van de Poppe mentions Litecoin (LTC), Cosmos (ATOM) and Polkadot (DOT) as projects that can take the road up.

“Litecoin is on the way up and dino coins follow. I expect the Ethereum ecosystem to do well, including ATOM and DOT,” said Van de Poppe.

The abbreviation DINO stands for “Decentraal In Name Only” and means that Van de Poppe does not consider these projects as decentralized. They call themselves that, but they really aren’t.

Before we start the big rally that Van de Poppe predicts, he thinks we are in for one more correction.

“Overall, I expect us to consolidate before continuing the rally. This year has been fantastic so far and it will probably remain that way, but for now there is consolidation,” says Van de Poppe.

No Bitcoin price of $100,000 yet?

Finally, Van de Poppe shifts his focus to Bitcoin and tells his followers not to expect a jump to the $100,000 level anytime soon.

The range is relatively defined on #Bitcoin.

I don’t believe we’ll blast to $100K all of a sudden and are still following the path of the 4-year cycle, for now.

Consolidating areas at $60K support ranges, areas around ATH to be resistance.

According to Van de Poppe, we will consolidate in the near future between $60,000 and Bitcoin’s all-time high, which is currently $73,800.

He sees no reason why we will deviate enormously from the normal cycle and therefore seems to only expect some explosive price action from Bitcoin towards the end of 2024. In any case, that’s how things normally go in a half year.
