Creamy polenta is a traditional Italian dish, made with cornmeal, water or milk, and seasonings. It is a versatile dish that can be served as a side dish, main dish or even dessert.

Creamy polenta is a very tasty and nutritious dish. 
Cornmeal is a good source of complex carbohydrates, which provide energy to the body. 
Furthermore, polenta is a dish rich in fiber, which helps the intestines function properly.

Ingredients

  • 1 liter of water or milk

  • 2 cups of cornmeal

  • 1 tablespoon of butter

  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  • In a large pan, bring water or milk to medium heat.
  • When the water or milk boils, add the cornmeal little by little, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon to avoid lumps.
  • Cook for about 30 minutes, stirring constantly, until the polenta thickens and no longer sticks to the bottom of the pan.
  • Remove from the heat, add the butter and Parmesan cheese and mix well until melted.
  • Season with salt to taste and serve hot.
