Ingredients
1 liter of whole milk
2 liters of water
500 g corn for hominy
1/2 cup sugar
1 can of condensed milk
1 cinnamon stick
3 cloves
Directions
- Soak the hominy in cold water for at least 12 hours.
- Drain the hominy and place it in a large pan.
- Cover with water and place over high heat.
- When the water boils, lower the heat and cook for about 1 hour, or until the hominy is soft.
- Drain the hominy and set aside.
- In a large pan, mix the milk, condensed milk, sugar, cinnamon stick and cloves.
- Place over medium heat and cook for about 15 minutes, or until the cream thickens.
- Add the cooked hominy and mix well.
- Cook for another 5 minutes, or until the hominy is well cooked.
- Turn off the heat and serve hot.
