Ingredients
3 eggs
1 cup of cornmeal
2 cups of sugar
2 cups of milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup wheat flour
1 tablespoon powdered yeast
1 pinch of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold with butter and flour.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is fluffy and pale.
- Add the milk and mix well.
- Then add the cornmeal, wheat flour and salt.
- Stir until all ingredients are incorporated.
- Add the melted butter and mix again.
- Lastly, add the baking powder and stir gently until it is evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Pour the dough into the greased form and place in the preheated oven.
- Bake for approximately 40 to 45 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before unmolding.
