Ingredients
Wheat flour 1 cup (120g)
Cornmeal 1 cup (120g)
Sugar 1/2 cup (90g)
Fennel Seeds 1 tsp (optional)
Chemical yeast 1 teaspoon (5g)
Butter 2 tbsp (40g)
Egg 1 unit
Milk 2 tablespoons (30 mL)
Directions
- In a bowl, add 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour;
- Add Cornmeal 1 cup (120g);
- Add Sugar 1/2 cup (90g);
- Add 1 tsp Fennel Seeds (optional);
- Add Chemical Yeast 1 tsp (5g);
- Mix;
- Add Butter 2 tbsp (40g);
- Add Egg 1 unit, beaten;
- Mix;
- Add Milk 2 tablespoons (30 mL), little by little while mixing;
- Mold the broas;
- Transfer to a greased shape with butter and sprinkled with cornmeal;
- Take to preheated oven at 200 degrees for approximately 25 minutes;
- Your cornbread is ready!
