Biscuit pavé is a traditional Brazilian dessert, made with layers of champagne or cornstarch biscuits moistened in milk and interspersed with condensed milk cream.

Cookie pavé is an easy-to-prepare and delicious dessert, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages of champagne biscuits or cornstarch

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 2 cans of milk (use the same size as the can of condensed milk)

  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 1 cup of milk to moisten the cookies

Directions

  • In a pan, mix the condensed milk, milk and cornstarch dissolved in the milk.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
  • Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Moisten the cookies in milk and line the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Cover with condensed milk cream.
  • Repeat the layers, ending with the condensed milk cream.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
  • Decorate with cookies and serve immediately.
