Ingredients
1 cup of wheat flour
1 egg
1 cup of milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Pinch of salt
300g of ground beef
1 chopped onion
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 chopped tomato
1/2 chopped pepper (optional)
Seasonings to taste (salt, pepper, cumin, etc.)
Vegetable oil for sautéing
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, egg, milk, vegetable oil and salt.
- Beat well until you obtain a homogeneous mass without lumps.
- Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
- When it’s hot, pour a small ladle of batter into the pan.
- Spread the dough across the pan, forming a thin, uniform layer.
- Cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until the edges start to brown.
- Repeat the process until you run out of batter, stacking the cooked pancakes on a plate.
- In a pan, heat some vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
- Add the chopped garlic and sauté for another 1 minute.
- Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, stirring occasionally to break up any large pieces.
- When the meat is almost completely cooked, add the chopped tomatoes and peppers (if using).
- Season with salt, pepper and other seasonings to taste.
- Cook for a few more minutes until the vegetables are tender and the meat is completely cooked.
- Take a cooked pancake and place a portion of the ground meat filling in the center.
- Wrap the pancake tightly around the filling, forming a roll.
- Repeat the process with the rest of the pancakes and filling.
- Serve hot, accompanied by your favorite sauce.
