Following the step-by-step will work!

This is a basic Chocolate Pave recipe, but you can customize it by adding other ingredients like fruit, nuts or whipped cream if you prefer.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of cornstarch biscuits

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 2 yolks

  • 2 cups of milk

  • 200g semisweet chocolate

  • 1 tablespoon of corn starch

  • 1 box of cream

  • Chocolate sprinkles (optional) to decorate

Directions

  • In a saucepan, mix condensed milk, cocoa powder, egg yolks and cornstarch.
  • Gradually add the milk, stirring well to dissolve all the ingredients.
  • Put the pan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until you get a thick cream.
  • Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In another pan, melt the semisweet chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave, taking care not to burn it.
  • Mix the milk cream to the melted chocolate, stirring well until you get a homogeneous cream.
  • Reserve.
  • In a refractory or in individual bowls, make a layer of cookies moistened with milk.
  • Then place a layer of chocolate cream over the cookies.
  • Continue alternating layers of cookies and cream, ending with a layer of chocolate cream.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until well chilled and firm.
  • When serving, you can decorate with chocolate sprinkles or chocolate shavings if you wish.
  • Serve the iced Chocolate Pave and enjoy!
