Chocolate salami is prepared by mixing the ingredients and then rolling the resulting dough like a salami. 
It is then refrigerated until it hardens and can be sliced ​​for serving. 
It has a soft and crunchy texture, with the flavor of chocolate and a touch of vanilla.

Some people also add other ingredients, such as walnuts, almonds, shredded coconut, or dried fruit, to add more flavor and texture to the chocolate salami. 
However, the basic recipe is very tasty on its own and is a delicious option for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  • In a bowl, mix the sugar, cocoa powder and melted butter until smooth.
  • Add the eggs, wheat flour, vanilla essence and salt and mix well.
  • Add the chocolate chips and mix again.
  • Put the dough in a long plastic mold and roll it up like a salami.
  • Cover the mold with aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  • Once hardened, remove the salami from the mold and cut into slices to serve.

Notes

  • Tip: You can also wrap the salami in aluminum foil and refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months. Just defrost for a few minutes before serving.
