  • 3 cans of condensed milk

  • 4 eggs

  • 4 tablespoons of chocolate powder

  • 1 tablespoon of butter

  • Chocolate sprinkles (to decorate)

  • Butter (to grease the pan)

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Grease a pudding mold (approximately 20 cm in diameter) with butter.
  • In the blender, place the condensed milk, the cream, the eggs, the chocolate powder and the butter.
  • Mix until you get a smooth mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into the greased form.
  • Cover the form with aluminum foil.
  • Place the mold inside a larger roasting pan and add hot water to the pan, forming a bain-marie.
  • Place in preheated oven and bake in bain-marie for about 1 hour.
Time may vary, so keep an eye out.
The brigadeiro is ready when it is firm around the edges and slightly firm in the center.
  • Take the mold out of the oven and out of the water bath.
  • Let the brigadeiro cool completely.
  • Once cold, take the brigadeiro to the fridge for a few hours or until it is very cold.
  • When ready to serve, unmold the brigadeiro onto a serving plate and decorate with chocolate sprinkles.
  • Cut into slices and serve.
The brigadeiro can be accompanied by whipped cream, fresh fruit or ice cream, if desired.
