Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • 1/2 cup fresh cream (optional)

Directions

  • In a thick-bottomed pan, add the sugar and water and mix well.
  • Bring to a low boil and cook for about 10 minutes, without stirring, until the mixture begins to brown.
  • When the mixture turns a caramel color, remove from heat immediately.
  • If you want a creamier syrup, add the fresh cream to the mixture and stir well until smooth.
  • Let it cool down a bit before using.

  • Caramel syrup can be used for various purposes, such as to drizzle cakes, puddings, ice cream, among others. It’s a great option to give a special touch to your desserts. Enjoy!
