Ingredients
4 large onions
1 glass of wheat flour
1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
1 egg
1/4 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Directions
- Peel the onions and cut them into rings approximately 1/2 cm thick.
- Place the onion rings in a large bowl and cover with cold water.
Add a tablespoon of oil and soak for 30 minutes.
This will help reduce the bitterness of the onion. - In a small bowl, mix the wheat flour, breadcrumbs, salt and black pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and milk.
- Drain the onion rings and dip them first in the flour mixture and then in the egg and milk mixture.
- Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry the onion rings in batches until golden and crispy.
- Drain on paper towel and serve hot.
