
Bean soup is a traditional Brazilian dish. It is a creamy and flavorful soup, made with cooked beans, seasonings and, optionally, other ingredients such as pasta, meat or vegetables.

Ingredients
1½ cups of cooked and seasoned beans (with broth)
1 chopped onion
½ chopped red pepper
1 stalk of chopped celery
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
3 cups (tea) of water
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Salt to taste
Directions
- In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the onion, pepper and celery and sauté for 3 minutes, until wilted.
- Add the garlic and sauté for another 1 minute.
- Add the cooked and seasoned beans and water.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Cook for another 5 minutes, or until the soup is creamy.
