2 cups fresh basil leaves
1/2 cup toasted pine nuts
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 minced garlic cloves
1/2 cup olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender.
- Beat until you form a homogeneous paste.
- Add more olive oil if needed to reach desired consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve with pasta, bread or as an appetizer for dipping.
- It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 3 months.
