Use the ingredients:
Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
1 cup of milk
2 eggs
½ cup melted butter (or vegetable oil)
1 ½ cups of sugar
½ teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon powdered yeast
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin with butter or use parchment paper to line the bottom.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Add the melted butter (or vegetable oil) to the dry mixture and stir until crumbly in texture.
- In another bowl, lightly beat the eggs and add the milk and vanilla extract (if using).
- Mix well.
- Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir until you get a homogeneous mass.
- Take care not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and level the surface with a spatula.
- Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes.
- Then transfer it to a cooling rack and let it cool completely before decorating or serving.
