Ingredients
1 chopped onion
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup (tea) apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup (tea) brown sugar
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon of yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- In a pan, heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
- Add ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and black pepper.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for about 30 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
Notes
- For a spicier sauce, add more black pepper.
- For a sweeter sauce, add more brown sugar.
- For a thicker sauce, add 1/2 cup (tea) of water or meat broth.
