Ingredients

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 3 eggs

  • 2 and 1/2 cups wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 1 cup butter or margarine at room temperature

  • 1/2 cup granulated chocolate

  • 1/2 cup grated coconut

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. 
    Unite a medium round shape with butter and flour.
  • In a bowl, mix the wheat flour and baking powder.
  • Reserve.
  • In another large bowl, beat the butter (or margarine) with the sugar until you get a creamy mixture.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Gradually add the wheat flour mixture to the dough, alternating with the milk.
  • Start and end with the flour and mix well after each addition.
  • Add the granulated chocolate and grated coconut to the dough and mix until well incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes.
  • Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • After cooling down, you can serve the tingling cake plain or decorate it with a topping of your choice, such as brigadeiro or chocolate ganache.
