Ingredients
1 cup of milk
3 eggs
2 and 1/2 cups wheat flour
1 tablespoon powdered yeast
2 cups of sugar
1 cup butter or margarine at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated chocolate
1/2 cup grated coconut
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Unite a medium round shape with butter and flour. - In a bowl, mix the wheat flour and baking powder.
- Reserve.
- In another large bowl, beat the butter (or margarine) with the sugar until you get a creamy mixture.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually add the wheat flour mixture to the dough, alternating with the milk.
- Start and end with the flour and mix well after each addition.
- Add the granulated chocolate and grated coconut to the dough and mix until well incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes.
- Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- After cooling down, you can serve the tingling cake plain or decorate it with a topping of your choice, such as brigadeiro or chocolate ganache.
