Açaí in the bowl is a typical recipe from the North and Northeast of Brazil, made with açaí, a fruit native to the Amazon region.

The Acai bowl is usually served as a smoothie or ice cream, and can be accompanied with a variety of other ingredients, such as bananas, granola, honey and condensed milk.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen acai pulp

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1/2 cup (tea) of milk

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • Granola to decorate

Directions

  • Beat the acai pulp, banana, milk and honey in a blender until obtaining a homogeneous mixture.
  • Serve the mixture in a bowl and garnish with granola.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use other ingredients such as fruits, honey, molasses, coconut milk, yogurt and others to increase the recipe.
