The fluffy and moist texture of this cake makes it an ideal option to accompany an afternoon coffee, a special brunch or even as a dessert after a meal.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup natural yogurt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a cake pan with butter and sprinkle with flour to prevent the cake from sticking.
  • In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until puree.
  • Reserve.
  • In another bowl, mix the wheat flour, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.
  • Make a well in the center of the dry ingredient mixture and add the melted butter, eggs, mashed banana, vanilla extract and yogurt.
  • Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack. Once completely cooled, cut into slices and serve.
