Ingredients
1 whole fish (sea bass, sea bream, snapper, etc.), cleaned and scaled
1 lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 sprig of fresh rosemary (or other herbs of your choice)
Lemon slices to decorate
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Wash the fish well inside and out.
- Dry it with paper towel.
- Make diagonal cuts in the skin of the fish on both sides to help absorb the seasoning.
- Season the fish inside and out with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix the chopped garlic and olive oil.
- Rub this mixture over the entire surface of the fish.
- Place the fish on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
- Insert the rosemary branch inside the fish.
- Place the fish in the preheated oven for around 25-30 minutes, or until the meat is cooked and the skin is golden.
- During cooking, baste the fish occasionally with the juices that accumulate in the pan.
- Remove from the oven and decorate with lemon slices before serving.
- Serve the baked fish with sides of your choice, such as rice, potatoes or steamed vegetables.
