This recipe uses canned corn, making preparation more practical and quick, without compromising the quality and flavor of the final result.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of green corn (drained)

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 1 can of milk (use the corn can to measure)

  • 1/2 can vegetable oil

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 and 1/2 cup fine corn flour

  • 1 cup of wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin with margarine and wheat flour.
  • In the blender, add the drained corn, condensed milk, milk, oil and eggs.
  • Beat well until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • In a large bowl, mix the corn and wheat flours, baking powder and a pinch of salt.
  • Pour the liquid mixture from the blender over the dry ingredients in the bowl.
  • Stir gently until a uniform dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to the greased pan and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40 to 50 minutes, or until the cake is golden and firm to the touch.
  • Do the toothpick test to make sure the inside is cooked.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cake cool before unmolding.
