White manjar is a traditional Brazilian dessert, made with milk, coconut milk, cornstarch and sugar.

Blancmange is a creamy and smooth sweet, with a delicate and refreshing flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 liter of milk

  • 1 glass of coconut milk (200 ml)

  • 1 can of condensed milk (395 g)

  • 1 cup cornstarch (tea)

  • Oil for greasing the mold

  • 300 g dried plums with pits (about 2 cups)

  • 2½ cups (tea) of water

  • ¾ cup (tea) sugar

  • 1 bunch of cinnamon

Directions

  • In a pan, mix the milk, coconut milk, condensed milk and cornstarch.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
  • Remove from heat and pour into an oiled pan.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
  • Unmold the dish and serve with the plum syrup.
