1 large cabbage
1 cup of raw rice (tea)
500 grams of ground beef
1 large chopped onion
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup chopped green chilli
1 can of ready-made tomato sauce
Water to cook the cabbage
Directions
- Separate the cabbage leaves, removing the central stalk.
- Place the leaves in a pan of boiling water and cook until they are tender, but not too soft.
- In a bowl, mix the rice, ground meat, onion, garlic, salt, black pepper and green chilli.
- Stuff each cabbage leaf with the meat mixture and roll up like a roulade.
- Place the cigars in a pan and add the tomato sauce.
- Cover with water until the cigars are covered.
- Cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes, or until the cigars are cooked through.
