Ingredients

  • 2 cups (250g) cornstarch

  • 1/2 cup (100g) softened butter

  • 1/2 cup (100g) sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)

Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine cornstarch, butter, sugar and lemon zest (if using).
  • Add the egg and mix until a homogeneous dough forms.
  • Form the dough into balls and place them on a greased and floured baking sheet.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until the cookies are golden.
  • Let the cookies cool before serving.
