Ingredients
- 1 liter of water or milk 
- 2 cups of cornmeal 
- 1 tablespoon of butter 
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese 
- Salt to taste 
Directions
- In a large pan, bring water or milk to medium heat.
- When the water or milk boils, add the cornmeal little by little, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon to avoid lumps.
- Cook for about 30 minutes, stirring constantly, until the polenta thickens and no longer sticks to the bottom of the pan.
- Remove from the heat, add the butter and Parmesan cheese and mix well until melted.
