Pasta carbonara is a traditional Italian dish, originating in the Lazio region. It is a simple and quick dish to prepare, made with pasta, bacon, eggs, parmesan cheese and black pepper.

The pasta is cooked al dente and mixed with fried bacon, eggs beaten with parmesan cheese and black pepper. 
The result is a creamy and tasty dish, with a smoky touch from the bacon.

Ingredients

  • 200 g spaghetti noodles

  • 100 g diced bacon

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  • Cook the pasta al dente according to the package instructions.
  • Meanwhile, fry the bacon in a frying pan until crispy.
  • In a bowl, beat the eggs with the Parmesan cheese, salt and black pepper.
  • Drain the pasta and add it to the pan with the bacon.
  • Add the egg and cheese mixture and stir well until the sauce coats all the pasta.
  • Serve immediately.
