Make your Fluffy Cornmeal Cake using the ingredients below.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cornmeal

  • 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon of dry yeast

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar

  • 1/2 tablespoon of salt

  • 1 cup of warm milk

  • 1/2 cup (tea) of oil

  • 2 eggs

Directions

  • In a large bowl, mix the cornmeal, wheat flour, yeast, sugar and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the warm milk, oil and eggs.
  • Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry mixture and mix well until a homogeneous dough forms.
  • Grease and flour a 24 cm round cake pan.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
