Ingredients
2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
1 cup (tea) sugar
1/2 cup (tea) of oil
1 cup of milk (tea)
3 eggs
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1 tablespoon lemon zest
1/2 cup (tea) lemon juice
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Grease and flour a 24cm round cake tin.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast and lemon zest.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs with the oil until creamy.
- Add the milk to the egg mixture and beat until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture into the flour mixture and mix until smooth.
- Add the lemon juice and mix until incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before unmolding.
Notes
- For a more citrusy cake, use lemons.
- If you want a moister cake, add 1/2 cup (tea) of natural yogurt to the dough.
- For a whipped cream topping, beat 1 cup (tea) of fresh cream with 1/4 cup (tea) of sugar until stiff.
