minutesThe original recipe for biro biro rice is made with needle rice, bacon, eggs, straw potatoes, onion, parsley, butter and vegetable oil.
The rice is cooked normally and, once cold, it is mixed with the other ingredients.
Ingredients
3 cups of needle rice
250g chopped bacon
4 eggs
1 chopped onion
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 tablespoon of butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Directions
- Cook the needle rice according to the package instructions.
- In a frying pan, fry the bacon until golden.
- Add the onion and sauté until transparent.
- Crack the eggs into the pan and cook until cooked.
- Mix the cooked rice, bacon, eggs, parsley, salt and black pepper.
- Serve it hot.
Notes
- For a creamier biro biro rice, add a little cream cheese or cream to the rice.
- For a spicier biro biro rice, add some chili pepper or biquinho pepper.
- For a more vegetarian biro biro rice, replace the bacon with vegetable sausage or tofu.
