Ingredients
500 g of sour cassava starch
100 ml soybean oil
300 ml of water
1 tablespoon of salt
2 beaten eggs
Directions
- In a pan, heat the oil and water until it boils.
- In a bowl, mix the tapioca starch and salt.
- Pour the hot oil and water mixture over the tapioca starch and mix well until a homogeneous dough forms.
- Add the beaten eggs and mix until incorporated.
- Heat the oil in a pan or frying pan over medium heat.
- Using your hands, shape the dough into balls or discs and fry in batches until golden.
- Drain excess oil on paper towel and serve.
Notes
- To prevent the biscuit from exploding when frying, it is important that the oil is hot, but not boiling.
- If you want a crispier cookie, let it fry longer.
- You can add other ingredients to the dough, such as cheese, oregano or parsley.
