Ingredients
1 cup white rice
4 cups of water
4 cups whole milk
1 can of condensed milk
1 can of cream
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Cinnamon powder for sprinkling
Directions
- In a large pot, combine the rice and water.
- Place over medium heat and cook until the rice is tender, about 20 minutes.
- Add the milk, condensed milk, cream and vanilla essence.
- Stir to combine.
- Reduce the heat to low and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Serve hot or cold, sprinkled with ground cinnamon.
Notes
- For an even creamier rice pudding, use whole milk and heavy cream.
- You can also add other ingredients to the rice pudding, such as raisins, nuts or dried fruit.
- Sweet rice can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
