To prepare your Moroccan Couscous you can use the ingredients listed below.

Ingredients
1 cup Moroccan couscous
1 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 chopped onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1/2 cup grated carrot
1/2 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup chopped tomato
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine couscous and boiling water.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest for 5 minutes, or until the couscous absorbs all the water.
- Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until soft.
- Add the carrots, peas, tomatoes, parsley, lemon juice, salt and black pepper and mix well.
- Drain the couscous and add it to the pan.
- Mix well to combine.
- Serve it hot.
Notes
- You can also cook couscous in the oven. To do this, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Place the couscous in a roasting pan and pour over the boiling water. Cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes, or until the couscous is tender.
- You can add other ingredients to Moroccan couscous, such as meat, chicken, fish or seafood.
- Moroccan couscous can also be served as an accompaniment to other dishes, such as meat, poultry or fish.
