Ingredients
1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
1 cup (240ml) skimmed milk
1 cup (240 ml) condensed milk
1 cup (240ml) powdered milk
6 eggs
1/2 cup (100g) sugar
1 tablespoon of corn starch
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Make the caramel: Place the sugar in a saucepan and place over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until melted and golden brown.
- Pour the caramel into a pudding mold with a central scoop (20cm in diameter) and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the caramelized tin and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the pudding cool completely before unmolding.
- Serve chilled.
Notes
- For a creamier pudding, use whole milk.
- For a firmer pudding, bake longer.
- For a pudding with a more intense flavor, add more vanilla essence.
- The pudding can be served with chocolate sauce, caramel sauce or fresh fruit.
