Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk

  • 1 cup (240ml) skimmed milk

  • 1 cup (240 ml) condensed milk

  • 1 cup (240ml) powdered milk

  • 6 eggs

  • 1/2 cup (100g) sugar

  • 1 tablespoon of corn starch

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Make the caramel: Place the sugar in a saucepan and place over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until melted and golden brown.
  • Pour the caramel into a pudding mold with a central scoop (20cm in diameter) and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the caramelized tin and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the pudding cool completely before unmolding.
  • Serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a creamier pudding, use whole milk.
  • For a firmer pudding, bake longer.
  • For a pudding with a more intense flavor, add more vanilla essence.
  • The pudding can be served with chocolate sauce, caramel sauce or fresh fruit.
