Ingredients
3 ripe bananas (approximately 300g)
2 cups of wheat flour
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon powdered yeast
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
pinch of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin (can be round or rectangular) with butter or oil and sprinkle with a little flour to prevent the cake from sticking.
- Peel the bananas and mash them with a fork in a large bowl.
- Add the eggs and mix well with the mashed bananas.
- Then add the sugar and oil to the banana and egg mixture.
- Mix again until you get a homogeneous mass.
- Add the wheat flour little by little, incorporating well into the dough.
- Add the baking powder, ground cinnamon (if using) and a pinch of salt.
- Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
- Pour the dough into the greased mold and level the surface with a spoon.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 30 to 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before unmolding.
- The banana cake is ready to be served!Â
