Beef stroganoff

Ingredients
500g beef (filet mignon, rump, sirloin steak) cut into thin strips
2 minced garlic cloves
1 large chopped onion
200g sliced canned mushrooms
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 can of cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped parsley to garnish
Directions
- In a large pan, heat butter and vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pan and sauté until golden and soft.
- Add the meat cut into strips to the pan and cook until it is browned on all sides.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the sliced champignons to the pan and cook for a few more minutes.
- Then add the ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce to the pan.
- Mix all ingredients well.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine.
- Lastly, add the cream to the pan and mix well.
- Warm the stroganoff for a few more minutes, but avoid letting it boil.
- Remove from the heat and serve the beef stroganoff accompanied by white rice, straw potatoes or pasta.
- If desired, garnish with chopped parsley on top before serving.
