Chicken Pie

minutesFor your Chicken Pie to be delicious, use the ingredients mentioned below and follow the instructions in the preparation method.
Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
1 egg
1 cup cubed chilled butter
2 tablespoons of ice water
1 cooked and shredded chicken breast
1 chopped tomato
1 small chopped onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1/2 cup green corn (optional)
1/2 cup chopped green olives (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix the wheat flour with the cold butter until it forms a crumb.
- Add the egg and ice water and mix until a homogeneous mass is formed.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- While the dough is resting in the fridge, heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic until golden.
- Add the tomato and sauté for a few more minutes.
- Then add the shredded chicken, corn and olives (if using).
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and cook for a few more minutes.
- Book the stuffing.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide it into two parts: one for the base of the pies and another for the lids.
- Open the dough with a rolling pin on a floured surface and cut circles to line the pie molds.
- Place a portion of the stuffing in each mold.
- Roll out the second part of the dough and cut circles to be used as pie covers.
- Place the lids over the filling and press the edges with a fork to seal.
- Place the pies on a baking sheet and place in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove the pies from the oven and let them cool slightly before unmolding and serving.
