Ingredients
2 cans of drained green corn (or the equivalent of 400g)
3 eggs
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup cornmeal (cornmeal)
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup wheat flour
1 tablespoon powdered yeast
1 pinch of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold with butter or oil and flour.
- In the blender, add the drained corn, sugar, eggs, oil and milk.Â
Mix until you get a smooth mixture. - In a separate bowl, mix the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Pour the liquid mixture from the blender into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix well until you get a homogeneous mass.
- Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before unmolding.
