To prepare this delicious Easy Creamy Corn Cake, use the ingredients below and follow the instructions in the preparation method.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of drained green corn (or the equivalent of 400g)

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 cup cornmeal (cornmeal)

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1/2 cup wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold with butter or oil and flour.
  • In the blender, add the drained corn, sugar, eggs, oil and milk. 
    Mix until you get a smooth mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Pour the liquid mixture from the blender into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix well until you get a homogeneous mass.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before unmolding.
