Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
1 cup cocoa powder
2 cups of sugar
1 tablespoon powdered yeast
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
1 cup of milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold with butter or oil and flour.
- In a large bowl, sift the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Mix well.
- Add the milk, vegetable oil, eggs and vanilla extract to the dry mixture.
- Beat well with a mixer at medium speed until you get a homogeneous mass.
- Add the boiling water to the dough and beat again until fully incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely before unmolding.
- If you wish, you can decorate the cake with a frosting of your choice, such as chocolate ganache, chocolate cream or sifted icing sugar.
