Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
3 eggs
1 and 1/2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 cup of milk
2 tea spoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Pinch of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Unite a round shape with butter and sprinkle with flour. - In a large bowl, mix butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Then add the vanilla essence and mix again. - In another bowl, sift the wheat flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix them well. - Add the flour mixture to the dough, alternating with the milk.
Start and end with the flour, mixing gently after each addition. - Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes.
- Then transfer it to a cooling rack and let it cool completely.
- When it’s cold, you can sprinkle icing sugar on top or add a topping of your choice.
