Make an Easy Homemade Cake using the ingredients below and following the instructions on how to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups wheat flour

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine (at room temperature)

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin with butter or margarine. 
    You can also put parchment paper on the bottom of the mold to make it easier to unmold.
  • In a large bowl, mix butter (or margarine) and sugar until creamy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. 
    If you prefer, you can add the vanilla at this stage.
  • Then add the sifted wheat flour little by little, alternating with the milk. 
    Start and end with the flour. 
    Mix well until you get a homogeneous mass.
  • Add the baking powder and salt, and stir gently until all ingredients are incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 40-50 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes. 
    Then unmold and cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
