Make this Pancake Dough using the ingredients below and following the instructions in the preparation method.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1 teaspoon powdered yeast

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (or vegetable oil)

Directions

  • In a large bowl, sift the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. 
    Mix the dry ingredients well.
  • In a separate bowl, lightly beat the egg. 
    Add milk and melted butter (or vegetable oil) and mix well.
  • Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir gently until you get a homogeneous mass.
  • It’s important not to stir too much to prevent the pancakes from getting heavy.
  • Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. 
    If necessary, grease the frying pan with a little butter or vegetable oil.
  • Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter into the heated skillet.
  • Spread the dough lightly with the help of a spoon to form a round pancake.
  • Cook the pancake for about 2 to 3 minutes, or until the underside is golden brown and the edges are slightly set. 
    Flip the pancake carefully with a spatula and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes on the other side.
  • Transfer the finished pancake to a plate and repeat the process with the rest of the dough.
