Ingredients

  • 2 cups wheat flour (tea)

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)

  • 1/2 cup ice water (cold)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup(s) chopped heart of palm

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 1 chopped tomato

  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese (tea)

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

  • In a bowl, mix the wheat flour, butter, ice water, salt and egg until you get a homogeneous dough.
  • Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • In a pan, sauté the onion and tomato with a little oil.
  • Add the hearts of palm and season with salt and pepper.
  • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into circles approximately 10 cm in diameter.
  • Place a portion of the filling in the center of each circle of dough and cover with another circle of dough.
  • Press the edges with the tip of a fork to close the pie.
  • Place the pies in a greased baking dish and bake them in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden.
  • Serve it hot.
