Ingredients
2 cups wheat flour (tea)
1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
1/2 cup ice water (cold)
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup(s) chopped heart of palm
1 chopped onion
1 chopped tomato
1/2 cup cottage cheese (tea)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions
- In a bowl, mix the wheat flour, butter, ice water, salt and egg until you get a homogeneous dough.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- In a pan, sauté the onion and tomato with a little oil.
- Add the hearts of palm and season with salt and pepper.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into circles approximately 10 cm in diameter.
- Place a portion of the filling in the center of each circle of dough and cover with another circle of dough.
- Press the edges with the tip of a fork to close the pie.
- Place the pies in a greased baking dish and bake them in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden.
- Serve it hot.
