Ingredients
1 cup chopped strawberries
1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of water
2 tablespoons of corn starch
2 cups of milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Directions
- In a small saucepan, combine strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup water.
- Bring the mixture to medium heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries are soft and the mixture is thick.
- Add the cornstarch mixture and stir well.
- Simmer for 1 more minute, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a medium saucepan, combine milk, heavy cream, 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla extract.
- Bring the mixture to medium heat and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add the strawberry mixture to the pan with the milk and stir well.
- Distribute the mixture into individual bowls and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until completely cold and firm.
