Provoleta is often served as a starter, and may be accompanied with toasted bread or crackers. 
It is also common to see it as an accompaniment to meat dishes.

A variation is the provoleta a la parrilla (grilled) in which the provoleta is placed directly on the flame of the parrilla (grill) until it is crispy on the outside and melted on the inside. 
it is usually served with chimichurri.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg thickly sliced ​​provolone

  • Olive oil or butter for greasing

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
  • In a baking dish, place the slices of provolone and sprinkle with olive oil or butter.
  • Take it to the oven and let the cheese melt and turn golden.
  • This usually takes 10-15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and serve hot.
