Chocolate Brownie with Nuts

The chocolate nut brownie is a sweet and juicy dessert made with chocolate, wheat flour, sugar, butter, eggs and chopped nuts. It is a thick and fudgy cake, usually served cut into squares and can be served with ice cream or chocolate sauce.

The chocolate walnut brownie makes a great snack or dessert to share with friends and family on special occasions or simply as a snack to go with coffee or tea.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence

  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder and walnuts.
  • In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract and salt until smooth.
  • Add the liquid mixture to the dry mixture and mix well until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into a greased, floured loaf pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the brownie comes out clean.
  • Remove from oven and let cool before serving. 
    Serve hot or cold, with ice cream or chocolate sauce if desired.
