Simple and Easy Fish Moqueca

Try making this simple and easy fish moqueca for a delicious meal!

Ingredients

  • 800 grams of hake or tilapia

  • 4 tomatoes

  • 3 garlic cloves

  • 2 and 1/2 onions

  • 1 bottle of coconut milk

  • 1 tablespoon palm oil

  • 1/2 green pepper

  • 1/2 yellow bell pepper

  • 1/2 red bell pepper

  • 1/3 cup (tea) olive oil

  • 1 lemon juice

  • Coriander to taste

  • Green smell to taste

  • Black pepper to taste

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  • Cut the hake or tilapia fillets into slices and place in a container.
  • Season the fish with lemon juice, minced garlic, salt and black pepper to taste. 
    Mix well and book.
  • Chop the peppers, tomatoes and onion into strips. 
    In a tall pan with the fire off, make a layer of chopped onions and then a layer of tomato slices.
  • Place the fish and add the peppers on top. 
    Add more onions and tomatoes, then the rest of the fish and finish by adding the rest of the onions and tomatoes.
  • Drizzle with the fish seasoning, olive oil, coconut milk, palm oil and season with a tablespoon of salt.
  • Cover the pan, turn on the medium heat and let it cook for approximately 20 minutes without stirring.
  • Finish by adding chopped coriander and green chili peppers to taste, cook for another 10 minutes and the fish moqueca is ready.
